Ahhh! That old chestnut!

The answer is simple. As long it takes you. The one thing to remember
is that it takes time. You are learning a skill that will last you a lifetime – and if you take 24 hours
of tuition you must think – will ONE DAY of tuition, really set me up for life?

The DSA can take some time with forms – it really is the luck of the draw with them – your
provisional may arrive in a week – it may take four. There may be a 3 month wait for tests, or you
may get a date next week. You must remember that we will try and help and support you all the
way!

Click here to see what the DSA says about the number of lessons it will take. Just for those who
don't want to link, it says that you need about 45 hours of Tuition, along with 22 hours of private practice. That is a lot- but life now is very harsh out on the roads - and this amount of time actually does prepare you more for life out in the jungle. Remeber though, that some people will pick up
the skills quickly, and for some it may take 100 or 200 hours! Everyone is individual!
