We are looking to expand! Our Franchise opportunities are based around giving you great value
for money, with built in support for those on a trainee licence, and on-going support for those who have recently qualified and want to build their own business!

Lets have a look at the basic deal:
All Instructors are self employed. No-one earns a salary, so you are basically building your own business. You have two ways in which you can do this. The first is to fully qualify then simply go it alone: Buy a car and start to advertise. You are completely your own boss, but it has some serious disadvantages like: Where you get work from, Advertising costs, Cost of car, insurance and
keeping money to the side for repairs or a hire car if something happens to yours. Mostly, people leave this route until they have become established for a few years.

The second, more popular route is to Franchise - pay a company a fee who will do most of the
above for you: Some provide an insured, maintained car along with the students you need to
keep yourself busy while some just provide you with students, but this obviously has a cost implication, and the market is made up of hundreds of schools ready to take your hard earned
money: fees start from £80 per week without a car, to £380 per week with the bigger companies!

So, how The Drive School operates:

a) We give you the Car - its insured, maintained and we'll get you a back up if things go wrong* ;

b) We give you students*;

c) We Provide office support - help with arranging tests, contacting students etc.;

d) We provide training* - if you are a trainee we meet so that you get through that all difficult final exam; as an ADI we still will look for avenues to help you progress; we are looking to expand into Automatic, Disabled, Truck and Bus training in the future!

e) We are people focussed - Obviously we have the freephone number for students and also
provide welcome packs to the students so they have a clear expectation of their training and have
a professional vision of our company;

For all the above, we charge £175 per week*. This fee is graduated, we don't want you to over-
work from the first day - you need some time to settle into your new role - and having to find big franchise fees puts unneccessary pressure on any Instructor. Phone around the other companies before calling us and find out how much they charge. When you call us, we will arrange an
interview - which is also a little different to the other companies. You will find a lot of people happy
to take your money, and will provide you with a franchise readily - we however need to know what
you want from the business, how you wish to grow, what you want to do in the future and what
skills you have that will make The Drive School flourish.

You may be asking what the catch is - there really isn't one. We are like this because we learnt
from the mistakes when we worked with the National companies - and don't want to make the
same mistakes.
